PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormal event detection system which can early detect the generation of an abnormal event according to a situation of a person without impairing privacy.SOLUTION: The abnormal event detection system which can early detect the generation of the abnormal event depending on the person's situation includes: a sensor 22 which detects the presence of a person; a storage unit 32 connected to the sensor 22 and stores information for identifying the sensor 22 which detects the person and associated detection time information for identifying a detecting time; a processing unit 33 which identifies a behavior or a current situation of the person based on the information stored in the storage unit 32 and detects the generation of the abnormal event based on the identified behavior or the situation; and an abnormal event notification unit 34 which notifies the generation of the abnormal event to an administrator when the processing unit 33 detects the generation of the abnormal event.
