PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a pattern formation body, capable of obtaining the pattern formation body with a high-definition pattern formed on a plastic substrate whose dimension is easily changeable due to a change in temperature/humidity.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the pattern formation body with a pattern formed on the plastic substrate includes a storage step of storing the plastic substrate under a prescribed temperature/humidity atmosphere until the moisture content of the plastic substrate becomes a moisture content under the prescribed temperature/humidity atmosphere; a bonding step of temporarily securing the plastic substrate having the moisture content under the prescribed temperature/humidity atmosphere on a support substrate whose dimensional change due to the temperature/humidity change is less than that of the plastic substrate; and a pattern forming step of forming the pattern on the plastic substrate temporarily secured onto the support substrate.
