PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform the registration of users and the management of keys.SOLUTION: An electronic key system 602 includes identification cards 601 in which identification information is recorded and an electronic lock 600 which is provided to an object to be locked provided to the user 611 and which locks and unlocks the object based on the identification information. The electronic lock 600 includes an identification information storage means for storing the identification information which allows the locking and unlocking, an identification information input means for input of the identification information from the identification card 601, and a lock control means for locking and unlocking the object when the identification information stored in the identification information storage means and the identification information input from the identification information input means have a predetermined relationship. The identification information can identify the owner of the identification card 601. The identification information read from the identification card 601 lent from the user 611 is stored in the identification information storage means.
