PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user-friendliness of an information output device by allowing a user to obtain information longitudinally across a plurality of paper media.SOLUTION: The information output device: stores card specifying information individually specifying a plurality of cards issued as paper media; reads a pattern printed on a card, generates announce information corresponding to an input condition of the pattern and outputs the announce information; reads the card specifying information printed as the pattern on the card, on the basis of the read pattern; searches a related card having specific relativity with respect to the card of which the pattern has been read, from among the plurality of cards on the basis of the read card specifying information and the stored card specifying information; and outputs related card identification information enabling the related card obtained by the search to be identified. A mobile terminal 200 receives the related card identification information and displays this information on a display panel 202.
