PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a failure part even when a silent failure occurs in a network.SOLUTION: A reading section 102 reads MIB information from switch devices 200-1 to 200-5 on an adjacent switch device basis. The MIB information includes at least the number of transmission packets to adjacent switch devices, and the number of reception packets from adjacent switch devices. Next, a failure detection section 108 determines whether a link fails between the switch devices 200-1 to 200-5 and adjacent switch devices by using the MIB information read by the reading section 102. |
