PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily recognize the current operating mode of a positioner itself.SOLUTION: A positioner operating mode discriminating function 1B is provided in a calculating part 1. A pressure value of an amplified pneumatic pressure signal Pout, from a single action pilot relay 3, is detected by a pressure sensor 5, and sent to the calculating part 1. The calculating part 1, through the positioner operating mode discriminating function 1B, monitors a change in the amplified pneumatic pressure signal Pout corresponding to a change in a control output K, and when the direction of change in the control output K and the direction of change of the amplified pneumatic pressure signal Pout are the identical direction, discriminates the operating mode of the positioner 100 as the positive operating mode. The operating mode of the positioner 100 is discriminated as the negative operating mode when the direction of change in the control output K and the direction of change of the amplified pneumatic pressure signal Pout are the opposite directions. The discrimination results are displayed on a screen of a display part 7. |
