PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wallpaper which needs no binder impregnation of a backing paper, is produced at a low cost, prevents nap in painting a polyvinyl chloride paste or the like or subsequent drying, reduces curling when a glue is applied to the wallpaper, and prevents opening after construction, and can be removed so that a part of the wallpaper may not remain by using a dedicated glue with low adhesiveness for bonding when the wallpaper is removed from a wall during renovation.SOLUTION: The backing paper for wallpaper comprises 5-25 mass% of a synthetic fiber including a thermoplastic resin and less than 3% of an ash content. The synthetic fiber is a core sheath fiber comprising a polyester whose core melting point is 200°C or higher, a polyethylene whose sheath softening point is 100 to 150°C or a low melting point polyester. Additionally, the backing paper which has a fiber length of 4 to 7 mm and a fineness of 0.5 to 3.0 dtex is used. |
