The invention relates to a cable splice enclosure comprising two housing parts that are closed together to define at least one cable-entry aperture into the enclosure and an annular cable seal that has a cable-receiving aperture therein and is seated against an annular face provided around the cable-entry aperture by the housing parts, wherein the cable seal is split along a line that extends from the external surface of the seal to the cable-receiving aperture to permit a cable to be inserted into the cable-receiving aperture.
