FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: blood serum of a patient on her 38-40 week of pregnancy is analysed for the lactoferrin (LF) contents. If observing the LF value 4.5 mcg/ml and less, the absence of a pre-natal foetal infection and birth of a healthy child 8-9 points by Apgar score are predicted. If observing the LF value 4.5 mcg/ml and more, the presence of a pre-natal foetal infection and birth of a healthy child underevaluated by Apgar score 7 and less. ^ EFFECT: use of the method allows of high-accuracy prediction of a foetal condition and the presence of the pre-natal infection that allows optimising a therapeutic approach in newborns and well-timed treatment of the pre-natal infection. ^ 2 ex
