PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of determining a maintenance and repair time and an update time for a recuperator capable of properly determining the maintenance and repair time and the update time of the recuperator when performance of the recuperator single piece is deteriorated due to generation of cracking and fret, attachment of dust or clogging.SOLUTION: In determining the maintenance and repair time and the update time of the recuperator 20 which recovers sensible heat of an exhaust gas discharged from a heating furnace 10 and preheating combustion air or a fuel gas, a ratio of an actual measurement value and a theoretical value of heat recovery efficiency of the recuperator 20, or temperature difference between a theoretical value of a recuperator 20 outlet-side temperature and an actual measurement value of the recuperator 20 outlet-side temperature of the combustion air or fuel gas is calculated, and the calculated value is compared with a predetermined threshold value to determine the maintenance and repair time and the update time of the recuperator 20. |
