PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter capable of suppressing excessive expansion of a balloon, and efficiently applying force to an object by the balloon.SOLUTION: The balloon catheter 10 includes: a tube body 11 in which a lumen 141 is formed; the balloon 13 including a tubular part 131 disposed at the distal end of the tube body 11, foldable, and tube-shaped as expanded with a fluid for expansion fed from the lumen 141, and contracted parts 132 and 133 formed by contracting the diameter of the tubular part 131 on the distal end side and proximal end side of the tubular part 131; and stoppers 17 and 18 disposed to cover the contracted parts 132 and 133 in the folded state, and made of an elastic material separate from the balloon 13. The stoppers 17 and 18 are elastically reamed as the balloon 13 is expanded, and elastically contracted as the balloon 13 is contracted. |
