PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel RFID tag (including a molding material) which operates alone, irrespective of the material of an installation surface, such as metals or nonmetals, and is usable for high frequency bands such as the UHF band and microwave band, while having reduced possibility of a fault due to environmental change of installation place, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: An RFID tag includes: a dielectric substrate; an IC chip provided on one principal surface of the dielectric substrate; a first antenna pattern electrically connected to one end of the IC chip and disposed on the one principal surface; a second antenna pattern electrically connected to the other end of the IC chip and disposed from the one principal surface to the other principal surface of the dielectric substrate via one side surface of the dielectric substrate; and a molding material covering the dielectric substrate. The RFID tag has a short-circuit line for short-circuiting the first antenna pattern and the second antenna pattern. |
