PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrochemical element, simplifying maintenance of facilities in manufacturing steps of an electrochemical element.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the electrochemical element has steps of: welding a metal ring formed on the edge of a container and a sealing plate for sealing the container by laser welding while leaving one portion or more of the periphery of the sealing plate; and welding the one portion or more which is not welded by the laser welding in the periphery of the sealing plate by resistance welding.
