PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give notification to a user by detecting whether dust is accumulated in a recessed portion of a key, when the key is inserted into a keyhole.SOLUTION: The cylinder with a dust accumulation detecting function includes a dust detection circuit 21 and an alarm 15. The dust detection circuit 21 is wiring-connected to form a closed circuit via the key 2 and a tumbler 6 when the key 2 is inserted into the keyhole; and the presence or absence of the dust between the key 2 and the tumbler 6 is detected on the basis of output change when a voltage is applied to the tumbler 6. When the dust detection circuit 21 detects the dust between the key 2 and the tumbler 6, the alarm 15 provides the notification of that effect by lighting/flashing of an LED and ringing of a buzzer. |
