PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that includes a charging roller for charging an image carrier in contact with the image carrier, and prevents image flow by cleaning the image carrier while preventing toner from being wasted during cleaning.SOLUTION: Before cleaning (S10), a current to be obtained when a preset measurement voltage is applied to a charging roller from a charging device, is measured (S4). Based on the measured current value, an amount of toner to be supplied for cleaning (S10) is set (S5 to S9). Specifically, the amount of toner to be supplied is set larger as the measured current value is higher, and vice versa. |
