Disclosed are a processing method, a User Facing Provider Edge (UPE) and a Network Facing Provider Edge (NPE) for multicast data stream. The method includes: receiving a group management protocol based query message sent from the NPE, wherein the query message contains channel information (101); establishing channel list items corresponding to the channel information (102); receiving a group management protocol based report message sent from a Custom Edge (CE) for joining into a multicast group, wherein the report message contains the channel information (103); associating the channel list items with the CE to form multicast forwarding list items (104); and according to the multicast forwarding list items, sending the multicast data stream received from the NPE to the CE (105). The present invention can save the time for the UPE to establish channel list items, thus shortening the time delay for the CE to obtain multicast data stream. |
