<p>Provided is a lighting device that is able to prevent or suppress the generation of buzzing noises with a simple configuration. A backlight device (24) is equipped with an electric discharge tube (28), a backlight chassis (22) and a reinforcing member (23). The backlight chassis (22) has a base plate (22a) and side plates (22b, 22c), which are on the surface of the base plate (22a) and rise from the edge of the base plate (22a). The discharge tube (28) is seated on the surface of the base plate (22a). The reinforcing member (23) has a fixed part (23a), which is fixed to a side plate (22c), and a reinforcing part (23b), which is connected to the fixed part (23a) and is also in contact with the rear surface (22t) of the base plate (22a) of the backlight chassis (22).</p> |
