The spectrometer has a beam inlet device (10) attached at a housing (1), where the spectrometer is a handheld device. A deflecting unit (20) i.e. lattice, is attached at the housing for spectral dividing radiation passing through the beam inlet device. A detector device (30) is attached at the housing for detecting the radiation divided by the deflecting unit. An adjustable beam adjustment unit adjusts geometry of the radiation passing via the beam inlet device. The deflecting unit, adjustment units and detector device adjustment units are adjustable from an outer side of the housing.
