PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize downsizing and moreover improve system efficiency.SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 1 comprises an FPS 2 for reforming a reforming raw fuel to generate a reformed gas, a fuel cell stack 3 for generating power by using the reformed gas, a burner 4 for heating the FPS 2 by burning at least either of offgas of the fuel cell stack 3 or a burning raw material, a burning pump P2 for supplying the reforming raw fuel to the burner 4, a temperature detecting sensor 5 for detecting an FPS temperature, and a controlling part 6 for controlling the burning pump P2 based on the FPS temperature. The controlling part 6, when a total value of a heat quantity of the burning raw fuel supplied to the burning pump P2 and a heat quantity of the offgas is larger than the necessary heat quantity of the FPS 2 and moreover the heat quantity of the offgas is smaller than the necessary heat quantity, controls the burning pump P2 in an intermittent operation in a state the offgas being burnt by the burner 4 so that the FPS temperature may be maintained within a prescribed temperature region R. |
