PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent welding quality by preventing any degradation or crack of a structure of a base metal when using the pulse waveform in the welding current conducting both arcs, in a plasma MIG welding method for generating the MIG arc and the plasma arc from one welding torch.SOLUTION: In the plasma MIG welding method, the MIG arc is generated by repeating the conduction of the first peak current Ipm and the conduction of the first base current Ibm as one pulse period Tf; the second peak current Ipp is conducted during a part of the conduction period or the entire period of the first base current Ibm, and the second base current Ibp is conducted during the other period of the pulse period Tf to generate the plasma arc; wherein the second peak current Ipp or its conduction period Tpp is controlled so that the average value of the plasma welding current Iwp to be formed of the second peak current Ipp and the second base current Ibp is equal to the predetermined current set value. |
