PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular reduction gear for actualizing a speed reduction mechanism for preventing the degradation of energy efficiency without increasing the size.SOLUTION: The vehicular reduction gear includes: a planetary gear mechanism (31) constituted of a sun gear (42), a stepped pinion (43) to which a first gear (43A) meshing with the sun gear (42) and a second gear (43B) having a smaller number of teeth than the fist gear (43A) are coaxially joined, a first ring gear (45) meshing with the first gear (43A), a second ring gear (46) meshing with the second gear (43B), and a carrier (44) for outputting the orbital motion of the stepped pinion (43); a case (32) storing the planetary gear mechanism (31); a first brake (33); and a second brake (34). One of the first brake (33) and the second brake (34) is set in a fastened condition to output the rotation of the carrier (44). |
