PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a glass substrate having excellent impact resistance and high smoothness and flatness.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a glass substrate for an information recording medium including a chemical strengthening step of strengthening the glass substrate by replacing a part of ions contained in the glass substrate formed in a circular plate shape with ions having larger ion diameters than the ions, a shape correcting step of performing annealing and setter pressing is provided after the chemical strengthening step. |
