PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new achievement method for eco-drive.SOLUTION: In an automobile traffic system 1, a GPS receiver 220 of a traffic signal 2 receives a GPS satellite signal from a GPS satellite, performs position computation using the received GPS satellite signal and calculates a position and a timepiece error of its own signal. Then, the GPS receiver corrects the clocking time of a timepiece unit 230 using the calculated timepiece error, and controls the signal at signal control timing based on the absolute time of the timepiece unit 230. The traffic signal 2 transmits information indicating the control timing by visible light communication. An automobile 3 receives the signal control timing information transmitted by the visible light communication from the traffic signal 2 to control the stop of an engine and the restart of the engine on the basis of the received timing information. |
