PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator which copes with users in a plurality of areas, without deteriorating carrying efficiency, while reducing the number of installation units, in property having an area with a plurality of different meanings.SOLUTION: This elevator 11 includes a hoistway 15, a car 17 arranged in the hoistway and arranged with doors 19 and 21 on the respective limiting area side and nonlimiting area side, and a limiting gate 13 fixed in the car and integrally lifting with the car. The limiting gate divides the inside of a cage into a limiting area side space 25 and a nonlimiting area side space 23, and permits passing-through to the other space from one space only when satisfying a predetermined condition. |
