<p>A motor vehicle drive system (1) comprises: a first electric drive machine (3), connected to a battery of accumulator cells, capable of providing mechanical drive energy and arranged in such a way that it can be coupled, in a way that may or may not be disengageable, to a differential (2) capable of driving a pair of driven wheels of the vehicle, - a second electric drive machine (4), connected to the battery of accumulator cells by a current inverter - rectifier which alternately allows the second machine (4) to deliver mechanical drive energy from the electrical energy of the battery and to convert mechanical energy transmitted to the second drive machine into electrical energy sent to the battery, - a combustion engine (5). The system further comprises a first set of gears (22-53, 38-53) provided with a first sliding sleeve (44,49), which, by moving the first sliding sleeve (44, 49), allows the second electric machine (4) to be coupled selectively either to the differential (2) or to the combustion engine (5).</p> |
