PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform section management of a plurality of sections by a plurality of image forming apparatuses, without having to use a server.SOLUTION: In each image forming apparatus 1, a storage device 15 stores a counter value in association with section ID. A device retrieval unit 23 retrieves other image forming apparatuses 1, having a section management function among image forming apparatuses 1 connected to a network 2 by using a communication device 17. When a predetermined event is detected by a job and a section of section ID specified by the job is managed in own apparatus, a control unit 25 updates the counter value stored in the storage device 15; and otherwise, when the section is not managed by own apparatus, transmits a count-up request for the event to the image forming apparatus 1 discovered by the device retrieval unit 23 in which the counter value of the section of the section ID specified by the job is stored. |
