PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing thermoplastic polyurethane resin powder including no micro particle or coarse particle and suitable for slush molding in particular.SOLUTION: The method of producing thermoplastic polyurethane resin powder (D) with a median particle diameter of 10-500 μm and a particle diameter distribution Cv of 20-55 comprises processes 1 and 2. In the process 1, after producing thermoplastic polyurethane resin fine powder (G) containing a thermoplastic polyurethane resin (A) and having median particle diameter of 1-100 μm, slurry (J) containing the thermoplastic polyurethane resin fine powder (G) and an aqueous solution containing water or a dispersant is produced. In the process 2, an organic solvent (B) with a difference of 3 or less in a solubility parameter (SP value) from that of the thermoplastic polyurethane resin (A) is added to the slurry (J), and the resultant mixture is stirred at a peripheral speed of 0.1-10 m/s at 10°C to a boiling point (°C) of the organic solvent (B) for granulating the thermoplastic polyurethane resin fine powder (G) into the thermoplastic polyurethane resin powder (D). |
