PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce leakage light from around a bare fiber section by reducing the leakage of light of bare fiber section at the optical fiber insertion pipe and/or from around the upper area of a mount.SOLUTION: This light emitting element module has an LD 13, a core 17a, a fiber coating CA including a first clad 17b and a second clad 17c, a lens 17e in which the laser beam L emitted from the emitting surface 13a of the LD13 enters, an optical fiber 17 having a bare fiber section CRA with its second clad 17c removed, and a housing 11 holding the LD13. The optical fiber 17 is a multi-mode fiber, and the housing 11 has an optical fiber insertion pipe 11a to secure a part of the bare fiber section CRA so as to make the emitting surface 13a face the lens 17e, and a part of the bare fiber section CRA is fixed with a resin 16a of a reflectivity lower than the first clad 17b in the optical fiber insertion pipe 11a. |
