PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust the tappet clearance of a valve gear of an internal combustion engine while miniaturizing the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: In this intake side valve gear 54I of the overhead valve engine 24 having an intake valve 47 above a combustion chamber 44, a shim type intake side rocker arm 57I comprising an insertion hole 71a at one end and a pressing part 73a for pressing a valve step 47b at the other end is disposed between the valve step 47b and an intake camshaft 55I, the insertion hole 71a of the intake side rocker arm 57I is formed in a cylinder head 27, and a gap M allowing the intake side rocker arm 57I to retreat when shins 91 interposed on the pressing part 73a side are replaced is formed in a rear-side wall 27a on the insertion hole 71a side. |
