PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with a conventional apparatus, wherein there is such a risk that redundant data for error correction may be transmitted more than necessary or required redundancy data may not be transmitted.SOLUTION: A redundancy control unit 105 of a transmission apparatus 101 acquires a buffering time corresponding to a time from the reception till the reproduction processing start of media data in a receiving device 102, and also a transmission time (RTT) of data between the transmission apparatus 101 and the receiving device 102 and determines an FEC redundancy on the basis of the buffering time and the transmission time and generates redundant data in accordance with the determination. |
