PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the washing effect by smoothly circulating washing water.SOLUTION: The washing machine includes: water feeding means 9 for feeding washing water into a water tub 2; a motor 7 for rotationally driving a rotary drum 3; a circulation water channel 12 for circulating washing water inside the water tub 2; a circulation pump 13 disposed in the circulation water channel 12; a heating part 16 for heating washing water flowing in the circulation water channel 12; cloth volume detecting means for detecting the volume of the laundry loaded into the rotary drum 3; and control means for executing steps of washing, rinsing and dewatering. The control means feeds washing water according to the cloth volume detected by the cloth volume detecting means, and sets the quantity of water to be stored in the water tub 2 larger than the quantity of washing water which can be stored in the circulation water channel 12 when the cloth volume detected by the cloth volume detecting means is the smallest. |
