PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable photoelectric converter which maintains high photoelectric conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: The photoelectric converter 10 has a first semiconductor layer which contains a mixed crystal compound composed of a metal chalcogenide, a metal oxide, and a metal hydroxide such that in the total of the number of atoms of chalcogen elements making up the metal chalcogenide and oxygen elements, a number-of-atoms ratio of the chalcogen elements is larger than a number-of-atoms ratio of the oxygen elements. A method for manufacturing the photoelectric converter 10 has steps of: making a source solution containing an organic solvent, metal salt, a chalcogen-element-containing compound, and organic onium salt; and bringing a support B into contact with the source solution to let the first semiconductor layer 4 containing the metal chalcogenide deposit on the support B. |
