PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device having a structure capable of achieving organic EL elements having an excellent light-emitting property by partition walls having a simple structure.SOLUTION: The light-emitting device is provided with a support substrate, partition walls which are provided on the support substrate and which define sections arranged on the support substrate, and a plurality of organic EL elements provided on the sections defined by the partition walls. Each organic EL element is configured by laminating a first electrode, an organic EL layer, and a second electrode in this order on the support substrate. At least a part of the first electrode is spaced from the partition walls on the support substrate. The organic EL layer has an extension portion extending from the first electrode to the partition walls. The surface of a member which is in contact with the bottom surface of the extension portion exhibits lyophilicity higher than the surface of each partition wall. |
