PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a communication without rupture even if a communication node falls into failure.SOLUTION: A plurality of communication nodes 10_1 to 10_8 constituting a communication system 1 perform mutual communication via a transmission line in accordance with a time-triggered communication protocol (e.g., FlexRay). Each of the communication nodes 10_1 to 10_8 periodically detects a fault status of the node itself and sends a diagnosis frame including the fault status to the transmission line 2. A backup node 20 monitors the diagnosis frame and in the case that the fault status indicates that operation by one communication node can not be continued or where sending of the diagnosis frame from the one communication node is stopped, a function of the one communication node is substitutively implemented using resources for implementing functions of the communication nodes 10_1 to 10_8. |
