PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof connector for a flexible substrate which has a waterproof property in the connector with a spring property of a connecting terminal kept.SOLUTION: The waterproof connector for the flexible substrate is equipped with: a flexible substrate with a conductive pattern formed on an insulation film; the connecting terminal connected to the conductive pattern at the terminal part of the flexible substrate; a housing to house the connector terminal inside; a retainer composed of a pair of members of upper and lower sides, in which its tip portion sandwiches a connecting part between the conductive pattern and the connecting terminal and its rear end portion surrounds the flexible substrate; a hot melt arranged at a non-jointing portion of an inner periphery of the retainer to the flexible substrate of the outer periphery of the retainer and an outer periphery of the retainer for bonding and fixing the flexible substrate and the retainer; a latching means arranged at the outer periphery of the retainer; and a latched means arranged at the housing. The latching means and the latched means are latched to each other to have the retainer and the housing fixed.
