PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transceiver with an enhanced EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) shielding effect.SOLUTION: The optical transceiver includes an optical transmission sub-assembly 12, a light receiving sub-assembly 14, an optical receptacle 16, a frame 18, a metal plate member 20 and a cover 22. The frame includes a pair of sidewalls and a bottom surface and has a spatially separated mounting area for mounting an optical sub-assembly. The metal plate member includes a front part and a ceiling part, the front part being inserted between the optical receptacle and the optical sub-assembly. The ceiling part is continuous to the front part and is provided over the pair of sidewalls to cover the mounting area. The cover having an inner surface is placed over the frame to cover the mounting area and the metal plate member, and presses the metal plate member by the inner surface. The ceiling part of the metal plate member forms a curved surface in which the center of the ceiling part is raised between the pair of sidewalls while the cover is not attached to the frame. |
