<p>Provided is a lighting device that is able to prevent or suppress the generation of buzzing noises with a simple configuration. A backlight device (24) is equipped with an electric discharge tube (28), a plate member (25), an absorption member (23) that can absorb vibrations and a backlight chassis (22). The backlight chassis (22) has a baseplate (22a) and side plates (22b, 22c), which are on the surface of the base plate (22a) and rise from the edge of the base plate (22a). Seated on the surface of the base plate (22a) are, in order from the base plate (22a), the absorption member (23), the plate member (25) and the electric discharge tube (28). The plate member (25) and the absorption member (23) are in contact with each other.</p> |
