A method for detecting an uplink interference source is disclosed in the present invention, and the method mainly includes the following steps: a serving base station configures interference parameters and a interference triggering event for a terminal; after detecting power parameters of a neighboring base station, the terminal determines whether the terminal itself causes an uplink interference to the neighboring base station according to the configured interference parameters and the interference triggering event, when the terminal determines the terminal itself is an uplink interference, the terminal reports an interference measurement report to the serving base station, and the serving base station transmits the interference measurement report and interference control information to the neighboring base station, which enables the neighboring base station to learn the uplink interference source of the neighboring base station. A system for detecting an uplink interference source is also disclosed in the present invention. The present invention provides a solution for detecting the uplink interference source, and provides a foundation for an effective and fast interference control processing.
