<p>Provided is a process by which a fine fibrous cellulose having a maximum fiber width of 1000nm or less can be efficiently produced in a high yield through easy and simple means. The process comprises: comminuting wood chips into a wood powder; and subjecting only a portion of the wood powder, said portion having a degree of crystallinity of 20 to 70%, to defatting, delignification, hemicellulose removal, and refining treatment, and so on to form a fine fibrous cellulose having a maximum fiber width of 1000nm or less.</p> |
