FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for recovery of straightness of slings, cable ropes and wires (SCW). Proposed method consists in bending existing distortion in direction opposite that of said distortion at angle equal to sum of distortion angle and angle depending upon SCW material elastic strength. For this, flattening lever with handles and clips to accommodate SCWs to be recovered so that clips turn about their axes when handles approach or go away and SCW distortion angle varies. ^ EFFECT: longer life, higher safety and lower costs. ^ 2 dwg
