Provided is a porous diffusion type flat-film separating device (X), which is provided with a plurality of flat films (7) having a plurality of pores for separating a specific dispersion in a solution by a porous diffusion method, and a plurality of flat-plate type supports (1) each having passages (2) in its one or two faces, such that the flat films (7) and the flat-plate type supports (1) are alternately arranged. The space volume of the passages (2) and the film area of the flat films (7) are set at a ratio within a range of 0.04 to 0.4. Water passages (3) for communicating with the passages (2) are so formed in at least two portions of the side faces of the flat-plate type supports (1) that the flow directions of the solution in the passages (2) of the upper and lower flat-plate type supports (1) through the flat films (7) may be substantially identical. In the flat-film separating device (X), the flat-plate type supports (1) and the flat films (7) can be disassembled and assembled.
