PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an expansion operation without giving unnecessary heat damage to a living body while heating a target site of a body cavity.SOLUTION: A hot balloon catheter has an optical fiber for introducing a laser light for heating, a photoirradiation part having a side irradiation part for reflecting the laser light vertically with respect to the axial direction of the optical fiber at the tip of the optical fiber, and a double-structured balloon. The double-structured balloon has a first balloon, and a second balloon mounted for containing the first balloon inside. Furthermore, the hot balloon catheter has: a first lumen for communicating to the inside of the first balloon and pouring a first fluid body; a second lumen communicating to a space, which is formed with the outer surface of the first balloon and the inner surface of the second balloon, at the proximal end of the catheter and pouring a second fluid body; and a third lumen communicating to the space at the distal end of the catheter in the space for collecting the second fluid body poured from the second lumen. |
