PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce operation stop caused by jam of a recording medium, in a recording device carrying the recording medium and performing recording.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes: a platen 35 carrying the recording medium; a carrying path P having a bent part bent by a projection 51a on the downstream side from a nip part of the platen 35; a jam detection sensor 39 located separated from the carrying path P of the recording medium and detecting the recording medium deviated from the carrying path P at the bent part of the carrying path P; and a control part feeding the recording medium backwards by reversely rotating the platen 35 and then, normally rotating the platen 35 at least by the backward feed amount to carry the recording medium to a discharge port 11, when the recording medium is detected by the jam detection sensor 39. |
