PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace for structure provided with a self-centering mechanism, which is small and light, requires low cost, and is highly reliable.SOLUTION: The brace for structure includes: an H-shaped steel material 2 that has a plate-like core blade 21 including a first joint connected to a structure, a first blade, and a second blade; a U-shaped steel material 3 that has a second joint 31 connected to the structure, a U-shaped bottom 32 vertically installed to the second joint 31, a third blade 33 extending from both ends of the U-shaped bottom 32 so as to sandwich the core blade 21 and including a first projection 34 that projects outward, and a fourth blade 35 including a second projection 36 that projects outward; a first steel plate 4 where the first joint penetrates; a second steel plate 5 where the second joint 31 and the U-shaped bottom 32 vertically installed to the second joint 31 penetrates; a connecting member 6 that couples the first steel plate 4 and the second steel plate 5; and viscoelastic bodies 7 installed between the core blade 21 and the third blade 33, and between the core blade 21 and the fourth blade 35. |
