PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the emission of an unnecessary electromagnetic wave.SOLUTION: An optical transmission module includes: a photoelectric conversion body 18 containing a photoelectric conversion element for converting one of electricity and light to the other; an optical coupling unit 30 that is provided on a surface of the photoelectric conversion body 18 to optically connect an optical fiber 32 to the photoelectric conversion element; a case 36 that extends at least the opposite end of the optical coupling unit 30 from the photoelectric conversion body 18 to the outside and contains a circuit board 10 and the photoelectric conversion body 18; and a conductive resistor 46. Surfaces of the photoelectric conversion body 18 and the optical coupling unit 30 are formed of conductive materials and electrically connected to each other. The conductive resistor 46 is formed of a conductive material having higher electric resistance than that of the photoelectric conversion body 18 and the optical coupling unit 30, and disposed in the case 36 so as to oppose the surface of the photoelectric conversion body 18 on which the optical coupling unit 30 is provided. |
