PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute and share document boxes by a plurality of image forming apparatuses within a system, without having to prepare a management server, separately from the image forming apparatuses.SOLUTION: Each of the plurality of image forming apparatuses 1 in the system includes a storage device 15 for storing box information indicating an attribute of a document box 15a; a device retrieval unit 23 for retrieving other image forming apparatuses 1, having document boxes; a box information request unit 25 for requesting box information of document boxes to one or more image forming apparatuses 1 detected by the device retrieval unit 23 and acquiring the box information in the one or more image forming apparatuses; and a control unit 27 for generating a list of document boxes, based on one or more box information items acquired by the box information request unit 25 and the box information stored in the storage device 15 of own apparatus and displaying the list on an operation panel 11. |
