PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detecting device for an automatic door which can change light-receiving characteristics of a light-receiving element according to the environment of the place of installation.SOLUTION: Areas R301, R309 where a density of pattern on a floor surface is comaratively high correspond to projection areas R110A-1 to R110A-9, and R110D-10 to R110D-18. Therefore, light-reception sensitivity for the projection areas R110A-1 to R110A-9, and R110D-10 to R110D-18 is raised by two stages. Areas R303, R307 where a density of pattern on a floor surface is comparatively pale correspond to projection areas R110A-10 to R110A-18, and R110D-1 to R110D-9. Therefore, light-reception sensitivity for the projection areas R110A-10 to R110A-18, and R110D-1 to R110D-9 is raised by one stage. Thus, the light-reception sensitivity of the light-receiving element is adjusted according to the environment of the place where an automatic door sensor 100 is installed. |
