PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image conversion device capable of converting a spherical surface image into an image that is easy to be stored, and an image generation system, an image conversion method, and an image generation method.SOLUTION: The image conversion device 30 has a spherical surface image generation part 32 for generating the spherical surface image 40 in which a photographed image is projected on a discrete spherical surface, and an image conversion part 33 for converting the spherical surface image into a rectangular image 70. A pixel that the discrete spherical surface has corresponds to a vertex 51 of a geodetic dome 50. A pixel value of each quadrangular pixel that the rectangular image has is a pixel value of the spherical surface image pixel corresponding to the vertex of the position of each quadrangular pixel in a two-dimensional array structure in which a plurality of vertices of an intermediate array structure are arranged in a quadrangle shape by deleting vertices corresponding to first and second poles of the geodetic dome from the intermediate array structure 60 in which, with each vertex on one meridian of the geodetic dome as a base point, a plurality of base points are arranged in a first direction, and the vertices of the same latitude as the respective base points are arranged in the second direction orthogonal to the first direction for each base point, and moving predetermined vertices of the intermediate array structure. |
