PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored light transmitting zirconia sintered body that has a red color and high translucency.SOLUTION: The zirconia sintered body is characterized in that it contains 6 to 30 mol% yttria and 0.1 to 5 mol% cerium oxide by CeOconversion and that this cerium oxide contains an oxide of trivalent cerium. In addition to a high degree of hardness, this zirconia sintered body has diamond luster based on the high refractive index typical of zirconia, deep red color and transparency. |
