PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus which can solve a fault caused by conveyance of a document while improving operability as to an image reading apparatus capable of reading out an image of a document conveyed in a conveyance route by first and second reading parts.SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus 1 includes: a body unit 5 having a first image reading part 10; and a cover unit 15 pivoted to the body unit 5 so as to be freely opened and closed and having a second image reading part 50. The first image reading part 10 is arranged under a movement reading glass 8 set on the upper surface of the body part 5 so as to be slidably moved and has a maximum reading range R in which the main scanning direction is a first dimension D. The second image reading part 50 has a reading range in which the main scanning direction is a second dimension L to read out an image of a document conveyed on a first conveyance route 31. A glass member 60 is arranged on the upper surface of the second image reading part 50 so as to be attached/detached by a glass fixing member 65. The glass member 60 has a major side of the first dimension D and more in the main scanning direction and is fixed at its end portion through the glass fixing member 65. |
